Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all
I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
What about you? If I ask your kids, 30 years form now, about your parenting....how would you want them to answer?

What a sweet post. I think the thing I appreciate most about my parents, and hope my children feel about me-is that they are 100% dependable and trustworthy. They are ALWAYS there no matter what we are going through, will be in the car on their way if there is anything we need, and provide encouragement and wisdom or just a listening ear. I hope my kids know we would do the same. I also hope I'm alive to do it-gotta quit eating Ruffles for lunch!
